BIOGRAPHY
I learned early that: life is not
always what it seems but what we make of it.
I love the idea of
viewing objects that we see everyday and capturing them from an
unusual vantage point.
My desire is to uplift those who view my
work, to bring a smile to your face.
Sitting at the Getty Museum I
was inspired by the reaction of people coming in and seeing Van
Gogh’s Irises. Each and every person, as they spotted that painting,
brightened up and beamed with joy.
Passion – life is not common. We
are all unique.
My wish for you is that you live life passionately.
I have been a student of life for eons. I have been a photographer
since my dad first placed a camera in my hands at the age of 8. I
still have that browning box camera. It sits proudly on a high shelf
in my family room.
I have risked my life for a photo. While traveling to the Grand
Canyon, I ventured out, over the fence to a steep area that was
covered in pebbles.
Now, pebbles are not very stable and the incline
was very steep ending with a straight drop down into the Grand
Canyon. The pebbles gave way under my foot as I was climbing back up
after getting the shot.
I thought I was a goner. I was not sure if
they would even be able to recover my body.
But you’ll be happy to
know, I made it, heart POUNDING, life that much more precious that I
lived to tell the story and share my work with you.
